All our adoptable dogs are spay-neutered, up to date on vaccinations, fully vetted ,dewormed and heartworm negative and microchipped. Adoption fee $150. Senior dogs $75.  Cats are $65. If you are out of our service area you are responsible for transport and any related fees.

Maisie is a darling 3 year old English Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix that weighs approximately 45 lbs.  She is spayed, UTD on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. This sweetheart is potty trained, kennel/crate trained, good with older/considerate children and all people. Poor Miss Maisie has sight limitations (due to partially detached retinas, cannot be repaired by surgery but does not require ongoing medical attention) and because of this, she is easily startled by other animals and needs to be an only pet. Maisie is a cuddler that loves being near her people! She is content to cuddle for hours, but also loves to go on walks and play with her people. Due to her sight issues, Maisie is requires her people to show her where things are before she becomes comfortable in an environment, after which, she manages quite well on her own. After a bit of time, you wouldn't even believe that she has trouble seeing!  Maisie loves squeaky toys, walks well on the leash, and does well on car rides. She would be great for an apartment or smaller home.

Maisie was an owner surrender at Aiken County Animal Shelter, left there after being attacked by another dog (which is believed to have caused her sight issues).  On top of that, she also tested positive for heartworms! Heartbeat rescued her and treated her for her injuries and for heartworms! She is now a very happy, healthy and well adjusted girl with oodles of love to share!

Miss Maisie is currently living in a foster home and waiting on her forever home!
