Bolton is an approximately 7 1/2 year old Labrador Retriever/American Pitbull Terrier mix that weighs about 60 lbs. He is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. This sweet old man is potty trained, kennel/crate trained (although he does not like being in it), is GREAT with people (including children) and with most dogs and is good with cats. He is a very gentle darling and a very low maintenance dog. He does fantastic with children, he is super gentle and if a child scares him, he just ambles away. He can be left out and about in the house, he's just going to nap while you are gone! He does great with other dogs, loves to play 'chase me'. He's an excellent example of how awesome a sweet senior dog can be!

Bolton had been adopted for several months and was doing great with his family.  Unfortunately, his dad came home after being gone with the military, and he ended up having a life threatening allergic reaction to Bolton.  The family had no choice but to return Bolton, although they were heartbroken to do so.

Bolton was heartworm positive at Aiken Co Animal Shelter where HeartBeat then rescued  him and then treated him for heartworms!

Bolton is currently living with a foster home and looking for his forever home!

Bolton's adoption fee is $65 and he is available for adoption via Shelter Animals Advocates.
