All our adoptable dogs are spay-neutered, up to date on vaccinations, fully vetted ,dewormed and heartworm negative and microchipped. Adoption fee $150. Senior dogs $75.  Cats are $65. If you are out of our service area you are responsible for transport and any related fees.

Petey AKA Spike is a cartoon character dog! If you loved Scooby Doo or Marmaduke, then Petey is the dog for you! You can't help but smile when he lumbers in!  A cute story that Petey's foster recently shared with us, "Petey was trying to play with his foster friend Cecelia, an old GSD.  She wasn't in the mood and woofed at him.  Poor Petey flew backwards away from her so quick, he almost did a backflip! He then galloped away, catching the cord for the laptop around his leg, kept running and pulled the laptop as well as half of the coffee table contents off the table!  He then just kind of falls over and lays down because he's too confused about what just happened and just lays there and smiles at his Foster Mom as she helped untangle him."

Petey is an approximately 6 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix (see DNA test results in photos) that weighs about 60 lbs.  Petey is neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. This sweet baby is kennel trained and potty trained and he is very friendly and sweet and takes treats very gently. He is GREAT with people and children, good with older, calmer dogs, no cats.  Petey is a very loving boy that likes attention and cuddles! He is a calmer boy that would love to be able to lay on the couch with you and cuddle!  He just wants a home where he can share his happy-go-lucky attitude with his family!

Petey was heartworm positive at Aiken Co Animal Shelter where HeartBeat then rescued him and then treated him for heartworms!

Petey is currently living with a foster home and looking for his forever home!

Petey's adoption fee is $65 and he is available for adoption via Shelter Animals Advocates/The Heartbeat Goes On.
