Treasure is a 3 1/2-4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bulldog mix (see DNA test results in photos) that weighs appropriately 50 lbs. She is spayed, UTD on shots and heartworm negative. This sweet pea is potty trained, kennel/crate trained, knows sit, is GREAT with people, good with kids, and tolerates cats. Treasure is good with other dogs, but she has food aggression issues, so unless you have experience with that, we suggest that she is an only dog.  Treasure is a snuggle bunny and medium-high energy that loves to play with toys, go on walks (walks well on the leash) and cuddle. Would be a fantastic running/exercise companion! (has participated in a 5K run and did beautifully, totally focused on running).  Treasure is an absolutely AMAZING dog that deserves a home of her own! She wants nothing more than a family of her own to love!

Treasure was originally a victim of animal cruelty.  She spent the first year of her life chained under a house.  She was then seized from her owners for animal cruelty. Treasure then went to Aiken Co Animal Shelter and stayed there for a long time while her court case was finalized.  After she won her case, she tested positive for heartworms and HeartBeat rescued her and then treated her!

Treasure spent a year with our rescue because she kept getting looked over.  She is a plain brown dog and no one wanted to give her a chance. Treasure did eventually get adopted, and lived in that home for about 6 months, but she ended up being returned to the rescue because her adopter just couldn't handle a second dog.  Treasure did not take being returned well and went into a fit of depression.  She has now bounced back and acts more like her normal self, but what she needs to be 100% is to move into another home with another family.

Treasure wants nothing more than to be in an actual forever home.  She has had the roughest life, and deserves a home of her own.  She just wants a place to call her own!

Treasure is currently living with a foster home and looking for her forever home!

Treasure's adoption fee is $100 and is available for adoption via Shelter Animals Advocates.
