Great news! Today, November 23rd aka THANKSGIVING, the cute and shy little Corbett (now Scooby) was adopted! Scooby certainly has a lot to be thankful for this year! He was originally at Allendale County Animal Shelter. With help from Partners for Pets of Allendale County, Shelter Animals Advocates pulled Scooby into the rescue and got him ready for his forever home! Because he was so shy, Scooby did a few weeks of foster to adopt with his new family to make sure he was comfortable before they adopted him. His new mom is going to be taking Scooby on lots of hikes and he already has made a new best friend! He loves playing with his new doggy sister, an older German Shepherd girl! Congrats Scooby!
Feb. 2017: Cromwell was HW+ on death row, 10 years old with cataracts, arthritis and other health issues. The HeartBeat Goes On pulled him as a hospice in October, and he was fostered by Polly and Tom Merrill. He grew stronger and his health improved in his wonderful home and Polly & Tom decided to adopt him since he was clearly 'home'. Here he is with his dog and cat siblings, enjoying his couch and his toys ....
Hooray! Champ was adopted, 17 February!
Champ was heartworm positive and on death row. Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk - RADAR Dogs- offered assistance with his funding, Shelter Animals Advocates The Heartbeat Goes On Campaign then pulled him and treated him for heartworms and hookworms. This sweet boy was quickly adopted, but unfortunately, after several months in his home, his adopters started having marital issues so they returned him :( ! Champ waited patiently and finally his new family has arrived! It was love at first sight! Yay! Let the heart beat on!
