4-6-19: Benson was a stray picked up in Aiken County, SAA pulled him and readied him for adoption and today he found his forever home! Happy trails Benson!

04-28-19:  Judy was a pitiful terrified matted mess when we pulled her last summer, a senior shit-zu whose elderly owner died and family had sent to North Augusta shelter. We originally pulled her to groom her for another rescue but she was in such bad shape physically and emotionally it was clear she needed to stay with us to recover. She also turned out to have 'the worst case of bladder stones' our vet had ever seen. Once the mats were removed, and the stones were removed her skin began to clear up, her vision partially returned (one eye had been matted closed) and she began to be able to be handled .. a lovely couple then offered fostered her to see how she'd do in a home and Sunday her adoption was finalized. JuJu has found her forever home

04-26-19: Brutus was a stray from Aiken County shelter, SAA pulled him and readied him for adoption. A volunteer favorite, today Brutus found his forever home complete with a little boy of his own. Happy trails Brutus!

3-29-19  Oh happy day! Our distinguished senior gentleman Titan has found a forever home with what he loves the most ... children (and no cats) ! A wonderful lady and her two teenagers have given our Titan a forever home. Happy trails Titan!

3-27-19:  Boo, our longest resident, found her forever home today! Her adopter came to meet another dog but just couldn't resist sweet silly loving Boo ... we are so very happy for you! Happy trails!
