As of today, 01 July, our sweet, sweet baby Merida has been adopted! This adorable pooper was heartworm positive and had whipwoms, hookworms, and tapeworms at ACAS. Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk - RADAR Dogs helped cover her heartworm treatment and Shelter Animals Advocates The Heart Beat Goes On pulled her and treated her. She waited just over a year to find her family, and her family was waiting for her too! When they met each other, it was love at first sight! Yay! It's days like this that make it all worth it! Look at how happy they are!! Let the heart beat on!

Mickey (right) originally from Greenwood County Animal Shelter was adopted today 01 July to a wonderful family! He even gets a new Min Pin brother!!

7-30-16: Longtimer Maisie, was dumped at the shelter, tested hw postive. She was blind AND hw positive. Today she finally found her home! Her new mom saw her photo on  www.shelteranimalsadvocates.org , she put in a application, scheduled a meet and greet with our adoption coordinator. It was love at first sit for both! We are super excited about this adoption. Yeah! let the heart beat on!

Mowgli was an owner surrender to Aiken County shelter, he tested HW positive and was on death row, he was pulled by the HeartBeat campaign and treated for heartworms and found his forever home 12-23-15. In his prior home before he was surrendered to the shelter (family difficulties) he lived with a small child and a teenager, he now has 2 young boys to play with.   The HeartBeat Goes On!
