As of today, 24 August, our lovable, adorable pooper Tosha has been adopted! This adorable girl was heartworm positive at ACAS. Raising Aid for Dogs At Risk - RADAR Dogs helped cover her heartworm treatment and Shelter Animals Advocates The Heart Beat Goes On pulled her and treated her. She waited just under a year for her family, and now she is over the moon to have finally found them! Yay! It's days like this that make it all worth it! Happy tails Tosha!
Let the heart beat on!
Turkey has been officially adopted as of today, 04 July by a big, loving family! Turkey was HW positive, had whipworms and hookworms, and was on death row at ACAS. Shelter Animals Advocates The Heart Beat Goes On rescued her and treated her. This sweet girl hit the jackpot with her new home! She has two new fur siblings and a slew of human family! They met Turkey at our recent Petsmart adoption event while looking at another dog, fell in love and put in their application! Yay! Let the heart beat on!
4-29-17: Fantastic news!! As of today, 29 April, our sweet girl Treasure has FINALLY been adopted! This poor angel has had the toughest time. She spent the first year and a half of her life chained under a house, she spent the next 6 months at ACAS waiting for her court case to finish....then she tested HW positive! We had two rescues interested in her, but they backed out at the last minute, leaving us to figure out what to do with her. We at Shelter Animals Advocates started our loca l adoption program because of Treasure (and another Bully baby Flo). She was in our rescue for over a year waiting and getting passed over because she is a plain brown dog. She thought she had a home last year, but her adoptive mom returned her because she couldn't handle two dogs. Treasure came back to us and waited for another few months. Finally, her family put in an application! It was love at first sight! Yay! It's days like this that make it all worth it! Look at how happy she is!! Let the heart beat on!
Great news today for Tasha!
Today, 26 Dec, Tasha was adopted!
Tasha was heartworm positive at ACAS, RADAR provided funds for her treatment and Shelter Animals Advocates The Heartbeat Goes On rescued her and treated her! Miss Tasha has some nerve damage which causes her back legs to get confused and sometimes they cross themselves or she stumbles. Dr Sybil Davis at Aiken Pet Fitness and Rehab helped Tasha improve her mobility so that she can live a happy and normal life. Thankfully, her new mom doesn't mind continuing to work with her and giving her a helping hand when she needs it!
Yay! Let the heartbeat go on!
